Felix Manalo Biggest Winner In 32nd PMPC Star Awards For Movies

The movie Felix Manalo emerged as the biggest winner in the recently concluded 32nd Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) Star Awards for Movies held at Resorts World Performing Arts Theater on Sunday, March 6, 2016.

Felix Manalo won the Movie of the Year award against other notable films Heneral Luna and Honor Thy Father. Its director, Joel Lamangan bagged the Movie Director of the Year award while its lead actor Dennis Trillo won the Movie Actor of the Year award together with Piolo Pascual from the movie Silong.

Dennis Trillo dedicated his award to members of Iglesia Ni Cristo who guided him in the making of this film.

“Para sa mga kapatid, kaanib, mga ministro na gumabay sa akin sa pagsasabuhay ng kwento ng isang dakilang Pilipino na dapat makilala ng bawat isa sa atin. Salamat sa Pelikulang ito dahil nakilala ko si Ka Felix Manalo,” Trillo said in his Instagram account. [Rough translation: For the brethren, members, and ministers who guided me in bringing to life the story of a great Filipino that should be known by everyone of us. Thank you for this film because I got to know Ka Felix Manalo.]

Felix Manalo also won the Movie Production Designer of the Year award and Movie Original Theme Song of the Year award.
